Plutora, a value stream management platform, is SaaS that was looking to gain more organic from Google (exactly like CloudZero).
Their content is top-notch and all they needed was a slight push of the individual pages that would help them climb the rankings.
- Great content already published and more is being produced
- Opportunistically acquired backlinks
Before starting any link building, I want to make sure the target URL we are looking to move up the rankings is set to succeed.
To do that, I run a few checks with one of the most important factors being…the word count!
I want to see what sort of content Google is putting out there in top 5 positions and make adjustments based on that.
Once that’s taken care of, it’s time to build backlinks!
We specialize in building links with the following characteristics:
- 1000+ Monthly Traffic
- Link from relevant page (i.e. the source page contains the keywords the target URL is trying to rank for)
We knew exactly what needs to be done and jumped into business right away with our standard 10 links per month package.
The first link went live on the 28th of January, 2022.
Even though it’s still is quite early to assess the campaign we can still look into the early dynamics…
Total Links Built
To date we built 20+ backlinks to the pages that could bring in the quickest gains.
Given that we focus on building high power backlinks, results can kick in faster.
Apparently that’s what we are seeing for this campaign.
Here is how the reporting sheet looks so far for Plutora…
Is it possible to see quick traffic gains when link building is started?
In 9 out of 10 cases I say that, no you can’t and that you’d have to wait for, at least, 3 months to see any movement, because the effect from the links takes a while to kick in.
Having said that, there are exceptions and Plutora is one of them.
Only 3 months into the campaign we are seeing a solid traffic increase – 38,296 from 29,229, an increase of 31%!
Monthly Traffic Value
This is the amount in USD you’d pay in order to acquire the amount of traffic you are getting from Google for free.
Ahrefs estimates it off CPC values for individual keywords your site is ranking for.
Essentially, it resonates with organic traffic increase but it’s good to be aware of how truly valuable this traffic is to a company.
After 3 months of work we are seeing it get to $62,827 from $47,956 per month, an increase of 31% as well.
So, if Plutora wanted to bring it that amount of traffic using paid ads, they’d need to spend ~$62,827 per month.
Domain Rating (DR)
Given that DR is a logarithmic metric, meaning that it’s a lot harder to grow it from 50 to 60 than from 20 to 30, it takes a while to push it up but…
We never focus on artificially inflating DR because, in reality, it can be a vanity metric.
There are a good few DR70+ websites our team “throws away” daily because they are nothing but a fake link farm – watch out for those!
So far DR stayed the same for Plutora at 56.
