Update 22 Jan 2019
We, Linkshero, only have 5 client slots and most of the time operate at full capacity (you can reach out to check if we can take you up though), but…
These 9 (really) white hat services are also at your disposal – check them out. 😉
—— Original Post ——
Here is the story…
I came across a post which is called “The 10 Best Link Building Services & Backlink Building Packages in 2018”.
I skimmed through it real quick and here is what came to my mind:
This was enough to get me semi-furious and share the REALLY good stuff with you.
The Problem With Their Post
I am not going post a link here (no link juice for ya MUHA-HA-HA-HA) but…
Here is the screenshot! 😎
What’s my problem?
My problem is that this article is misleading because not all of these services can be considered “best”.
And unlike many marketers which, either say things quietly discussing them in direct FB messages or say nothing at all, I am going to bash this list.
Right now I am going to write all the services they have down and comment on each of them personally, talking from my own experience…
…and down below I suggest my own list of great link builders that I either know personally or know what their service is like.
Granted, some of what I say can be considered by others as inaccurate and I will include some anecdotal non-verifiable statements.
Oh well…I do this for a greater good (or so I think).
Here is the list of services from that “best” list post:
- Stellar SEO
- LinkFish Media
- Screaming Frog
- Digital Current
- Higher Visibility
- Page One Power
- The Hoth
- Audience Bloom
And now to my comments.
I don’t know these guys but their service looks legit (based on what they say in FAQ).
I had a client that came to me after Fatjoe saying that they had to disavow the links they got with them.
I will leave it at that…
Run (from what I know) by Julie Joyce.
I do not know Julie personally but, from what I know and read (and I read some of her posts), she does good things.
You (should) know of Screaming Frog as an SEO tool but they also do link building.
I have been in touch with them personally and the last time they told me that their service is not result-based, which is like a retainer.
So they would assign X amount of hours per week, depending on your budget.
Can’t really say anything about this particular service but I am not sure about how “white hat” their processes are.
I might be totally wrong but their prices and “packages” look a bit dodgy to me.
I really can’t say anything about these guys.
I am not sure that I heard anything about Higher Visibility but their FAQ page signals legitness.
Page One Power
A pretty big player on link building market, POP seems pretty legit.
I would love to learn more about what they do so I can update this review.
I am a fan of theHoth from the business standpoint (solid brand, strong marketing and positioning) but I never recommend them as a service.
On top of that, I never heard positive reviews about their service behind the scenes…many people just wouldn’t admit it because “it’s business”.
And here is my “Hoth alternative” article from a while back – check it for more details.
I am not aware of this service but it seems that they just do guest posting.
Here is where I get this notion from.
Now that I bashed the list a little, I am going to present you with my very own list of best link building services for 2019…
Top Class Link Building Services for 2019 | Linkshero Edition
Below is a list (I am willing to expand it if you have a quality resource you could verify) of legit link builders that I either know personally or I heard of them doing good honest job.
The list is in no particular order…
Operated by my new friend, Alan Silvestri, this ain’t a “boner pill” service (as I initially thought :D).
Alan practices quite spectacular white hat outreach and focuses primarily on SaaS companies.
We spoke, I trust him – have a look.
Run by David Farkas who I know personally.
David’s super transparent about what they do.
His blog is also full of really useful link building-related information which shows his expertise and, once again, transparency.
Run by Eric Carrell and Sebastian Schäffer (who I meet every once in a while in Berlin).
I know that guys do an insane job with one single type of link building – shotgun skyscraper.
Their minimum budget is $5000 and they are super selective.
Dan is the guy who I learned from at the beginning.
Our relationship never took off for a stupid reason but I can’t afford to skip him because that’s not what this post is all about.
Dan’s service starts at 2000 British pounds (the last time I checked) and he does all sorts of great things.
Run by Shaurya Jain, who is (if I got it right) Dan’s student.
From what I see, Shaurya is a good link builder and his posts are very insightful (I saw him mention including a typo in the email so it looks more realistic).
Run by Stewart Dunlop and the team.
These guys have an interesting non-result based pricing structure (I think Screaming Frog have something similar).
Stewart also published a bunch of Youtube videos (even showing his templates) and, as a Pitchbox user myself, I have huge trust in his work (even though I don’t know him personally).
Run by Ross Hudgens and a massive team.
From what I understand, Siege runs on a more corporate level as they are a pretty big(ger) ass agency.
I don’t know Ross personally but I am happy to learn from his Youtube videos.
Run by an Irishman Jason Malone.
Jason is similar to Dofollow.io guys in his link building – skyscraper outreach.
This means that it won’t fit all types of websites but it will do miracles for some niches.
I know Jason personally and he is very selective on who to take (his minimal order is less than $5k).
Run by Rohin Dua who is an Indian guy (based in Australia) I have great respect for.
Rohin really works with agencies and, even though what they ask him to do is not squeaky clean white hat SEO, he is pushing white hat approach bit by bit.
My point is, they do legit white hat outreach, if you ask them.
Their prices are also pretty competitive.
I met Rohin personally.
Time for a little disclaimer (good timing, right?).
“Best link building service” is pretty much impossible to define due to the complexity of how it actually works, clients’ budgets, expectations etc etc.
What you need to know though, is the methods they are using to acquire those links and see how well they align with your “givens” and your short/medium/long-term goals.
If you are considering to sign up for a link building service (regardless of who you choose), check out this video!
Here I talk about 3 pretty important tips for outsourcing link building the right way. 😎
P.S. This list is, by no means, complete and I will be happy to update it with something legit (a lot would depend on your outreach email 😀 ).
